Another Cindy Woodsmall success. Waterbrooks Multnomah sent me a copy to review. My opinions are my own. The Dawn of Christmas
is yet another view of life in Apple Ridge. You will be reunited with
old characters, and meet new and interesting characters in this new
novel. I like that Ms. Woodsmall brings back old characters. I feel
like I get to check up on them and see where they are in life.
The
new characters were interesting and not your typical Amish young
people. You don't typically hear of Amish taking mission trips, or
choosing not to get married, but these are the young people we start
with. Ms. Woodsmall loves to take broken people, and grow them in her
books, and this is no different. You are reading about two very broken
people, just trying to survive, and then their growth. This wasn't my
all time favorite book, but if you like this genre, you will enjoy it.
It was an easy read and a quick one. I give it 3.5 stars out of 5.
